Lighting concept from Ansorg for showroom in Düsseldorf/DE

In Düsseldorf, quite close to the famous Königsallee, Moll presents, over an area of 350 square metres, not only cars but also a bit of lifestyle and passion for the luxury vehicle segment. It has long since involved much more than simply the sale of a car – the brand experience is also conveyed beyond the product “car”. The trend towards urbanization makes tomorrow’s car dealerships reinvent themselves. Smaller presentation areas, but in the best inner city locations: in the middle of the shopping bustle, not far from Prada, Gucci and Louis Vuitton in Düsseldorf you will be able to buy a Lamborghini, Aston Martin or McLaren in future.

Ansorg’s lighting concept underscores the simple elegance and clear design language of the cool metallic surfaces. The modular luminaire family Lightstripe is harmoniously integrated into the ceiling as a continuous system and fitted with the gimbal-mounted recessed module Cardo. This provides the desired flexibility. Not only the luminaires but also other technical elements such as ventilation, cameras and emergency lights can be seamlessly integrated.


A particular focus of the lighting is on the impressive setting of the scenes for the stars on the sales floor. The luminous ceiling panels create a feeling of being outside in the open air so that the customer would like to get in and drive off at once. Cool light and good colour rendition make the surfaces and materials shine. The homogeneous, soft light from the luminous ceiling panels is supplemented by individual light points (Cardo) which have been installed in the linear suspended luminaire system Floatline. This places particular highlights on the paintwork and underlines the dynamic lines of the bodywork.


On a tour of discovery through the showroom the customer is systematically guided by the lighting. The skillful playing with light and shadows creates harmonious contrasts and makes the customer linger attentively. The boutique that stocks clothing and accessories from the premium car brands and is brilliantly illuminated by spotlights, rounds off the exclusive backdrop. It is particularly emphasized by the accentuated lighting concept and creates additional highlights
between the orderly lines on the walls.
